Kayak, the insultex came from a group buy a good while back. I'm not sure how you will be able to get any, but if you find some let me know I may be interested in just a little if poss.

It is only available from i.d.i.gear

They don't readily sell to individuals and even when they do, only in full rolls. They are not set-up to sell yardage or really even full rolls. They are building a business selling to clothing manufacturers of outdoor gear. Their principal penetration so far is in the ice fishing niche where their Arctic Armour gear is building a great rep and following. Last I checked they were trying to get into hunting clothes, mainly I think, bow hunters. It is a small father and son firm with a few employees.

I forget the length of a full roll. We did a group buy last spring. I was contacted by another individual wanting to buy some of the Insultex. He had discovered it in his endeavors - he makes most of his own hunting clothes since he is hard to fit off the rack. He seemed to have formed a very favorable opinion from his researches and investigations of the clothing he could find made with it. I suggested he try another group buy on a forum somewhere. I thought that most of the interest on this forum was waiting for the field results from the spring buy.

Seems like when we did the group buy the shipping was outrageous.

Yes, after we found out how much they were going to charge for shipping. He was able to drive all that way and get it cheaper than what they wanted to charge for shipping.

Update: I just went back into the group buy thread. We bought 325 yards and the quote to ship was $200 via UPS.

If you do get a roll(or anyone else, for that matter) I'd like to buy 10 or 15 yards.

    Thanks - Jerry
