    BB and Superfly storage

My work schedule is fairly intense most of the year (CPA) but I do try to get out when my family allows to leave (they are not overnight-extended stay campers like myself). So I anticipate my hammock being unused 1-4 months at a time. Currently I keep the BB and Superfly stuffed in the stuff sacks. Will that damage or degrade the material over time keeping it in a compressed manner? I'm looking to make these items last a bit.

    Thanks for your help!

Shouldn't cause any damage at all to keep them in their stuff sacks so long as everything is dry.

I agree, no harm done at all.

I apologize in advance if you already know this; but just in case you were to considering extending this advise to include your insulating gear:

It's perfectly okay to leave your hammock and tarps stored in stuff sacks (as long as they were completely dry when you put them in the bag). BUT you should NOT store any insulating items (quilts, sleeping bags, puffy jackets, etc.) compressed for any length of time. Prolonged compression of these items will damage their ability to loft fully thus limiting their ability to keep you warm.

Does that still count if they believe you already have mental problems

when I get home, I hang everything out to dry or let the stink blow off of it. I've got a few eye hooks strategically placed to drape things over. I just leave it there until I'm ready for the next trip.

But my BB and tarps stayed stuffed and compressed for 3 months straight with no problems.
