New to the forum but not new to hanging. I have had my hammock for about 10 years and have loved every minute(minus a few cold nights) that I have hung between 2 trees. I have hung in the mountains on the AT(both on the trail and once in a shelter), I have hung on the bank(literally) of the Clarks Hill Lake at a state park in Georgia, I have hung at other state parks, and even in the back yard(even a few other places that don't come to my head immediately). I started hanging mainly because at the time I found a decent priced hammock and wanted to try it, fell in love with it and so it started, my love for the comfort, easy set up, and lightweight. I have recently made my own tarp shelter that has only been used once and I am in the process of making my own DIY underquilt(still trying to decide which direction to go). I made my own whoopie slings and snake skins. I don't claim to know everything and bare with me as I am sure to ask alot of questions as I am still learning more and more.
