It does but if it twists as it goes through the buckle, then it is a bit of a pain. You can prevent it by pinching it through your fingers as it feeds through.

Does the 2.2 work with a Beckett hitch on an Amsteel continuous loop?

The Beckett hitch has had failures so I can't endorse it.

I have a set of the 3.3 straps that I've been using w/ the Ti cinch buckle. As long as I tie a slippery half-hitch to keep the strap from twisting/folding it has been rock solid. Any experience w/ the new stuff and Ti buckles? Would you say the 2.2 is more or less prone to the "folding" longitudinally than than 3.3?

Ran across a company on the web that sells about 8 different weaves of Kevlar strapping in a bunch of different widths. Was hoping we'd start to see some more options entering the hammock world.

Yes with the same cautions. You have to take care it doesn't twist going in the buckle.

What is the nature of the failures? Kevlar slips past amsteel and comes undone? Beckett hitch compresses amsteel and weakens it? Something else? Thanks!

You guys are going to love this stuff - I don't want to say never, but I can't see any significant progress beyond this webbing. At 1500 lbs it's about as low as we'd want to go with kevlar. The tighter weave gives it a stiffer feel than the heavier kevlar which has a decidedly clothy feel to it. It has a better strength to weight ratio too.
