make your pattern, i prefer a longer mitten that goes up to the forearm, and use a fold-over style so only 1 seam to deal with. stitch the tyvek, then use tyvek tape to reinforce and waterproof, if you tape first it will gum up the needle and be a real hassle.
    Thanks,
    Dan

I also made Tyvek mitts with this pattern. They worked fine, and I didn't have any trouble with the sewn seams. I didn't try to waterproof the seams.

This is a good pattern, but note the bottom drawing carefully. The direction of fabric stretch is shown. Tyvek doesn't stretch, so change the 1" x 1" grid to 1" x 1.5". Also the piece shown in the bottom picture doesn't match with the lengths of the other two pieces. Perhaps the back of the mitt and the thumb are meant to be longer than the palm and the other side of the thumb, but I found it better to modify the pattern to make the lengths the same. I allowed 1/4" for a seam allowance on the seam across the palm, so I had to lengthen the thumb piece to compensate for that, too. Count the squares between the elastic and the diamond and also between the diamond and the tip of the mitt.

AC, did you need to adjust your pattern in a similar fashion?
