    HG ASYM TARP ???

I've been thinking about ordering an HG asym tarp for when I want to carry a really small pack and need the extra pack space, but can't really find anything much about them. Do any of you use them, and if so, please give me your opinion of them. Also, what length would you recommend with an 11 foot hammock for about a foot or so of overhang coverage on the ends? I've used asym's before (on a Hennessy) but don't have any experience with them other that that. I do understand that they do not offer the best of coverage in windy/blowing rain conditions, but I was thinking of use in milder weather (I live in Alabama so milder weather is the norm, even in the winter). Thanks.

I love mine. Ordered a 12ft camo! Coverage is great since I hang the hammock tight against the tarp since that's what hammock ridgeline are for right :-)

Here were a couple threads that had some good video reviews on the tarp. Can't give you much advice as I don't own one, but I've wanted to pick one up myself for a while now.

I've been thinking of getting the HG CF asym and have been puzzled by the "image coming soon". I guess it doesn't take a rocket scientist to imagine it. I spent quite a few nights in pouring rain in the stock Hennessy asymmetrical tarp without getting wet, but it wasn't blustery. Thanks for posting the links to the tarp. Maybe HG can update their website.

No it's with a DIY 1Oft hammock hung very close. I don't believe in the whole "have a certain about of give in your hammock ridgeline" thing. If your ridgeline is set right it doesn't matter how tight you hang your suspension. I hang my hammock suspension at 5 degrees sometimes and I always sleep comfy. I hang this tarp tight with the hammock and when I get in, it's still super close. I hope that makes sense.
