Cuben tarp suggestions

I'm looking to upgrade to a cuben tarp, before I go with the HG with doors are there any other tarps I should consider? Thanks in advance.

The HG with doors IMO is the cheapest and lightest in that size of cuben tarp that's made for hammocking. You could go with the winter palace but I find that the standard size one is plenty of coverage. If you are a big guy then maybe go with the palace.

Also get the cuben sleeve for it you decide to buy the standard or palace.

You could look at the Zpacks Hammock tarp with doors. It is a few bucks more, and is listed as heavier, which I am not sure why it would be heavier.

That said, I have several items from Zpacks and have always been really impressed with them for the quality and customer service.

Also, there is likely an advantage in buying from a company who's sole focus in on hammock gear. Likely to be more refined in terms of geometry, etc.

You can't go wrong with the HG cuben w/ doors. Do it. Pull the trigger. One of us! One of us!

I recently decided to upgrade to a cuben tarp this winter as well. After looking at all of the great options I ended up going with the Zpacks hammock tarp with doors. And it just arrived last week!

I think the biggest difference that I could see is that the HG has cat cuts where the Zpacks does not.

I've had really great experience with Zpacks in the past, and this time around was no exception. Looking forward to getting out and using it soon!

I used to own the HG standard with doors (6.5 ounces), but it just didn't provide the coverage I needed to keep me dry. I now have the Winter Palace (8.6 ounces), and have never gotten wet.
