    Winter Camping in Colorado

I'm planning on doing an overnight trip in a couple of weeks and worried about being too cold. I know each person is different in terms of how warm they stay but I just need some general feedback on what I'm planning and if you think that will work.

Right now overnight lows are expecting to be in the teens. I'm bringing my warbonnet Ridge runner bridge hammock with 0 degree HG UQ , 0 degree HG TQ as well as putting a Gossamer Gear 1/4 inch Thinlight Pad in between the UQ and the hammock. I'll also have polar fleece underwear, JRB Down Hood, Black Rock Down Hat, face mask, and goofy but dependable AHE Flamethrower socks. I'm also doing the hot nalgene water bottle trick. Do I need to add a sleeping bag pod system and/or order a spindrift sock for the hammock? Is there anything I'm missing? Last thing I want to be used miserably cold.

This will be my first true cold weather hammock trip. Thanks all!

Submit a trip report please. I am actually looking into allot of the same stuff you have and I am curious how it does.

The 0* quilts should have the warmth covered without issue especially in the teens
    I would not do a pad....condensation breeder
If windy out set up in a protected area if possible or use the/a tarp to help break the wind.
A nylon sock I worry about it holding moisture and being a snow maker
I'd say your good without the gear being pushed by any means...but backyard testing prior would be really good to confirm confidence in you and in your setup.

The warbonnet Ridge runner bridge hammock and the HG UQs don't really play well together. The HG UQ's are specifically designed for gathered end hammocks. It's the whole leg shelf butt pocket thingy.
Bridge hammock bottoms arent shaped the same. Now this does not mean you can't make it work however a normal rectangle UQ would have been better.

Here's a few Colorado Trip report picts from past years.
