Was just thinking about how my HH cord is not good to be directly on the tree... hence the straps... Someone pointed out in another thread about keeping parts to a minimum so they dont get lost... great idea!

I am still looking to use that mooring cleat on my cord, but instead of wrapping the strap around the tree (extra parts) could I just slip a piece of the tubular webbing OVER the cord, and just slide it into place so it covers the tree?

As long as it works, it would then stay on the cord and not have to be and extra "part."

Thoughts on this?
