My thoughts exactly! My dad is a VERY strong hiker. I'm on my way home from Arizona, and he kicked my booty at elevation! I figure i will have a slight advantage with a full pack, however ;-)

I assume that you'll give him all of your ultralight gear and carry the heavier load for your dad .
