When using grosgrain on the ends of an UQ, is there a difference in which bunches up better? Or are they really about the same?

There is a wide variety of grosgrain on the market and most of it seems to handle differently. Some are very stiff, while others tend to be less rigid. Unfortunately I don't have a great recommendation on where to find great grosgrain for a quilt end. I have a wide variety of it and I'm not sure what has come from which vendor/store at this point. Foolishness on my part to not keep track as I'm running low and will need some more before long.
The best luck I've had with grosgrain that bunches effectively is some black 1.5", but as I said, I have no idea where it came from at this point. It handled considerably differently than most of the other I had.
You could also use Satin ribbon. You can use any kind of ribbon except cotton. Thinner is better for Quilts.
Something to have in mind if its for a channel don’t make it too small because then the ribbon have to fold over itself. The ribbon/channel has to fit the whatever you want in the channel.
If there is nothing left to learn it’s time to die.
Live and learn.
The grosgrain ribbon sold at ordinary fabric stores (such as Joanne's and Michael's) is soft and would work well as a drawstring channel.
