    DDHammocks?

Is anyone here familiar with DDHammocks? I ran across a youtube video this morning that showed one being setup, but I'd not heard of them before. Are they new, or just something I've been unaware of?

For $90 USD you get a hammock and tarp, not a bad deal. I think this is the hammock responsible for people calling camping hammocks body bags. It really looks like a body bag :eek

It doesn't look like the lightest option out there.

No, but not the heaviest either. The camping model says 700 grams (24.691 ounces). But it looks like it could be 'lightened up' by changing the rope out.

I wouldn't really consider one, since I'm quite happy with my current setup, but I was surprised to see another camping hammock being manufactured that isn't listed on this site. Perhaps it should be added to the manufacturer's section for completeness?

There's been a few mentions of DD hammocks on the forum. I believe Nigel P uses one so hopefully he can add to the knowledge base. They seem to have been around for a while and look like a good option for somebody looking to get a double layer hammock.

What I have picked up in my research, The old ones were a bit small so the size has been increased. People don't rate the tapes that much, the Tarps are big and a tad heavy.

I wouldn't mind it being added to the list of manufacturers. Being UK based it's one of the hammocks I considered before I went DIY (though I have just got hold of a lovely Nomad xxl)

Quite popular on www.bushcraftuk.com though they have a reputation for being too short.
