Could your problem stem from an improper hang, and not the hardware you're using?? How are these any different than the other designs out there?
    Could be. But, I'm comfortable.

Did you watch the video on the linked post? It may answer your question.

I'm a webbing and cinch buckle user, and have NEVER had an issue with the suspension. It works flawlessly! I do not see a need for your device, because you shouldn't have to loosen the buckles to take down your hammock. You are doing something wrong if you had to cut your webbing straps to take down your hammock. This just sounds like another answer to a problem that doesn't exist!

Thank you, Ron. I have written them about it, but haven't heard back, yet.

Evidently he's one of the admins or site owners. I wrote them through the "Contact Us" form, and he's the one that answered.

Then apparently this is not a solution for you. There is interest, though as is evidenced by the polling numbers and the newsletter signups. And this device is not exclusive to hammocking. I thought I would start here to test for market viability, at least in this niche.

    I appreciate your feedback, though.

Ya, sorry about that. ha ha I had the same problem in the beginning. HYOH- Hang Your Own Hammock.
You will get a more comfortable hang at 30* angle and you won't have problems releasing your suspension. Give it a try.

Comfort is one factor in a successful hang. Minimizing stress on the trees is another, and arguably the more important of the two. That's the reason experienced hangers do everything possible to achieve a 30°hang angle.

No, I did not watch the video. I've seen enough hammocks hung with webbing to know the proper way to setup, and how easy it is to take down when done correctly. Not trying to be rude, just stating my experiences.

My point exactly! If you're cutting your suspension off the trees, there's something very, very wrong with your setup. Hardware won't fix that

Thanks. Actually, hardware will fix that. This device does exactly what you say hardware can't do. It's very forgiving.

BTW, I only cut it off once. We all go through a learning process.

The first decent guy with some manners to show up. Some of you guys are about as subtle as a snowball with a hand grenade in it. You should really try and be more considerate to the new people here...
