    newbie quesitons about stinerz

I have ordered my WBBXLC and superfly along with 100 feet of zing it and some stakes from Brandon. I was thinking about getting a couple of the stingerz from Dutch for setting up the tarp. Has anyone used these with the superfly and your thoughts please. I am new to hammocking and this is my first hammock, so any help is appreciated. Thanks. I meant stingerz in the title.

i use Dutch Stingerz with my superfly. They come with 12 ft of Zing-it spliced onto each stinger. setup is a breeze.

thanks Kroma. I thought they looked like they would make it quick and simple. Do you use zing it for all you lines on superfly?

yes, I do...zing-it attached to shock cord loops. check out Dutch's tarpworms...you can get 6 ft of zing-it attached to a tarpworm that's attached to a shock cord loop. larks head the shock cord to the corner tie-outs, loop the zing it around the stake, pull to tension the free end of the zing-it and then fasten to the tarpworm.

the shock cord is supposed to help offset the stretchiness of the sil-nylon during wind/rain

+1 on the zing-it / tarpworms /shock cord. Quick, easy and light.

I am also new I went with the stingerz so I could have the V in the tarp line for the hammock suspension to run through. I attached my zing it to the stingerz myself. I also have the tarp flyz on shock cord. it's really not that hard there's a lot of videos show you how to do it.

Agreeing with others here, I have a Superfly with a 12' ZingIt and a Stingerz on each end of the tarp for my most-used portable setup. (I have other semi-permanent heavy/big tarp camps in my woods and use Dynaglide or 3/8" rope there, but haven't tested Stingerz' or ZingIt with that much weight.) Has all the advantages others have mentioned. No ridgeline over or under the tarp itself. Also have Dutch's Tarpworms (which come with shock cord tensioner loops) on the tie-out lines. A reliable, foolproof setup, Dutch's stuff it does what it's supposed to do. If you prefer to use 2.00mm Dynaglide with the Superfly, with its double tensile strength of 1.75mm ZingIt, it works for me on the Stingerz, although slightly wider in diameter. But it doesn't seem necessary so far. Maybe in a hurricane. Hope this helps.
