The forum here definitely has no-negativity vibe and politeness rarely seen these days. I worked at Peterson AFB in 93-94 inside the west gate the civil engineering sqdrn. Colorado Springs was a great town, but considerably smaller than it is today 0 you should enjoy it.
    Amen on the vibe here!

Should have seen CS in '65-69.

I have fond, if vague, memories of this place: http://luigiscoloradosprings.com/

I just missed you, Trout - I was there for school June '94 to May '98.

I'll check out Luigi's this time around, Frawg. Better finances than last time and all...

Jump pay is $150 now, but cadets don't get it. I'm trying to squeeze in two static line jumps this week before I PCS, then I'm gonna try to hook up with freefall again when I get up there.

You're a better man than I, Gunga Din! It was easier to do with a 19 year old brain... notions of immortality and all that.

Haha - I was 19 when I did USAFA freefall but 32 when I did Ft Benning. Definitely didn't feel like I was still 19 after all those PLFs though.

And now back to our regularly scheduled program...

I didn't get arctic survival but I've had some cold weather training. More this weekend...I'm jumping with Canadians and they're predicting 100% rain followed by sub-freezing temps on Saturday. Might be landing on ice Sunday if Saturday's weathered out. Hopefully Sunday's not weathered out too!

Maybe I could turn the hammock into a parachute to soften the landing a bit...

But I'm READY for some SNOW up there!
