Ok Peeps....i just came in from test hang 3.1 due to rain and high winds...
the rain wasn't the problem it was more the 20MPH winds sending rain in under the tarp i could have pitch the tarp better...but for now i cut the test hang short till sat. night when the weather looks to be better
Anyway this is the gear i used for the test hang
DIY Speer Hammock (I got this hammock in a trade)
JRB 11x10 cat tarp
STL lines DIY
JRB Hudson River quilt
WallyWorld CCF pad
WallyWorld camp pillow (was $4...and packs down real small)
wind pants, long sleeve tee,med weight socks

test hang Conditions were
Temp 44
Humidity 60%
80% chance of rain (and they were right)

Ok as alot of you know i'm trying to get a cold weather setup that works for me i'v hung in the summer and loved it...now i want to hang 4 season.
First test were done with a HH and SS...I now moved on to a Speer type hammock and back to the good old CCF pad
OK so far this test run was working out well till the rain came
i was nice and warm on my bottom side...alittle cold in the arms but not bad
as for finding "The Spot" I think i may have found that sweet spot but i will know Sat night how sweet that spot is...All in all this was a good hang in my book
if all goes well Sat. night i think i will order a 2/3 KAQ that will take care of the cold sides
I hope we get some colder weather next weekend to really test out this setup
but so far so good...I will keep you all posted

Thanks
J-Rod
