    Tarp shopping.

This morning I pulled the trigger on my very first hammock (11' from Dutch). I've decided I'm going to try and figure out a way to rig my Enlightened Equipment Rev 20 as an under quilt and use my down bag as a TQ. The item on my list is a light weight Tarp. I'm primarily interested in summer rain protection in New England. I'm on a tight budget and I've thought about a DYI sewing project but I have zero experience and if it goes anything like my attempt to fix my own car it will cost me more in the long run.

can someone suggest a desent trap for a guy on a budget?

(Not sure if that is "decent", but a killer price!)

Looking forward to getting my new Winter Dream 13' tarp tomorrow. This should give me great coverage for my Warbonnet Ridgerunner.

Just got that one in December. Worked like a champ this weekend in high wind, rain, and hail!

I'd get something like the HH Hex for around $70. It's a pretty solid tarp for the price. Then again, for $15 more bucks you could get something much lighter like the Tadpole.

Charlie @ Mountain Wilderness gear. He can make one that you can park your car under. I have his first silpoly with doors, and I love it! He has a facebook, but he is also on here. Mountainwildernessgear.com

Got a DD Hammock 3x3 (meters). It cost $70 and shipping was incredible. It arrived within 1 week.

BCUSA makes a 12x10 tarp that weighs the same as the HH Hex at 27oz but has way more tie outs giving you many more configuration options and costs $5 more
