    Hi Everybody

I'm a brand new hanger who was all set up for my Springer to Harper's Ferry AT hike till I happened upon some hangers at Jean Petit State Park, AR. These guys insisted I try an Eno but I had just started my morning hike, tracking app running, all systems go and didn't wanna stop, but I had opened the conversation by asking how they liked their hammocks as I passed by...45 minutes later, we were still talking camping and hammocks.

I now have a Blackbird and an underquilt from UGO on order. Have (more!) Dutch bling coming and thanks to a thread I just read, tarp sleeves ordered from MountainGoat.

I learned from outfitting myself from the ground up (literally) for backpacking, starting last Dec, to seek out cottage industries. Hammocks forums provided every lead I've for my hammock and everything that goes with it, and I thank you.

You know as well as I do that I know nothing about hanging, but I'm loving this adventure and appreciate this site for not only gear advice, but what to do with it.

Hey, welcome to HF! I'm new here too. Where in East Texas are you? I'm in Plano, but I've been out towards Tyler and Texarkana. LOADS of trees out there!

East of Nacogdoches, love me some piney woods. Worked 1-6 weeks a summer as a camp nurse in Tyler for 14 yrs. Tyler's a great town and exploding with metrotex expats. Shopping in Tyler recently, I heard two conversations in passing from folks who had just moved there from the Dallas area. How weird is that?

Nac's a wonderful town with great wild spaces right in town. East Texas is a hanger's paradise.

Funny how many people start with an ENO and then end up here. Most people decide ENO hammocks are for newbs and move on. I still love my Eno Hammocks.....because they are good for a certain purpose, and because they started it all for me and for so many others.

Hey lilricky, we love San Antone, it's gotta be the best city in Texas. We make an effort to visit ever so often. Last year at this time, our AF daughter spent some some time doing military training, mostly during the day so I hightailed it up there and spent some time with her.

And Spinx, I don't think I'll ever forget sliding into the Eno and gently swaying, oh so comfortably. It's a primal thing, it was that deeply satisfying. I don't have a good answer of just why I didn't get what was such a great fit, except the WBBB promises to not only be a good fit (it is) but has the integrated bug net, so necessary for East Texas. I do have the Eno shoulder bag, to carry the 'Little Dulcimer' on my hike, the logo's promonate so Eno'll get some advertising that way.

Thanks for the welcome, it's appreciated.
