Seriously....with all this water would it even be worth it anywhere in the area?

The weather forecast I saw had about a 60 percent chance of rain from tomorrow through Saturday. Personally, I'd probably go but be mindful of low areas and where you may/may not be able to cross the major creeks. 60 - 65 percent chance of rain is when I will start to consider canceling. When it's raining or just after rain is when the waterfalls are at their best!
If it was 100 percent chance of rain all day, I would not go because that's not fun. But I have the gear for storms, I'm familiar with a lot of the area, and like the adventure... It really depends on your comfort level and/or experience. Lots of people will cancel, but I bet there will still be plenty of people out there this weekend.

Unless it is difficult to reschedule, I would wait. With all the rain projected, it will be very muddy and the creeks will be higher than normal. On the plus side, the waterfalls will be beautiful. I just hate cleaning all the mud after going up there when its really wet.
A chance to see the waterfalls flowing really good before they slow down during the summer. A great adventure.....you gotta go! As hickory says in the Shug Rock Jock video, "It only hurts if you live"! Just be mindful of your surroundings.
Im pretty sure we're going!

Bluff shelters are everywhere up and down Sipsey & Thompson. You can stay good and dry under them for hanging out and cooking. I carry a small umbrella to run back and forth to my hammock. Works Great! Go to Walmart and get those small fire logs about 6" long to help start your fire. That helps a lot!
If you guys don't plan on crossing and creeks you'll be fine. If you come to a branch that the water is high go up the branch away from the creek to cross. My 2cents worth
Don't let rain slow you down, it's a adventure waiting to happen!

Yeah the water went up quite a bit overnight! We made the decision to go no matter what. So if we end up just walking along borden creek and not crossing then who cares. We'll still be in the woods (and get to be a bit more lazy than our original plan).
