Texas Group at Harmon Creek Marina

Randy and I braved the nasty weather but we had a great time. We got to do some gear testing, talked gear, had good fellowship, and ate well this morning thanks to Randy's biscuits, gravy, and sausage patties!

Looking up to the launch and marina. We were at the end of a little peninsula.

Nice trailer set-up (wrong forum, tho), and it looks like you guys had the place to yourselves.

Randy brought the trailer in case his kids joined us Saturday. His hammock is on the other side of his truck. I'm sure he'll post photos as soon as he can.

Even though the weather was not the greatest,,, ya have to look at the bright side,,,, we didn't have to worry about crowding,,,,

    Here are some more highlights,
DISCLAIMER: some of the images in the following pictures may be considered pornographic to those gram type peoples....(just pulliun Ya'lls chain, as long as it don't weigh to much)

I wanted to get there early Friday to set up, because it was supposed to rain Friday afternoon. All went well, I got set up using my canoe rack and a DIY hammock pole.
My HH with the DD weather skin.

I have used this set up before and it has served me well, but I didn't anticipate a "turd floater" ( that Texas for a BA rain storm)
The ground became so soggy that one of my stakes started to come up out of the ground.

Friday evening, Alan, had an attraction to my Swiss Stove,,,,but after a while I had to break out the " Back-up" Brrrrrrrrrrrr

Even though we woke up with water standing everywhere, the HH Hex tarps withstood the rain very good.
My kitchen was almost flooded out.

And then, came chow time....Biscuts, Gravy and sausage... yea ,,yea I know,,,, it aint backpacking stuff, and it weighs a ton, But we ate good.

I think he was talking about the "Wonder Trailer" (TM pending) not being a hammock...

Randy, how do you keep water from accumulating on the kitchen tarp?
