What setup do you use to tie your tie outs to the over the top poles?

Not sure what you mean. Why would you tie your tie-outs over the top poles?

I'm going to purchase this tarp pole mod https://dutchwaregear.com/tarp-pole-mods.html and I'm curious what hangers are using to tie from the end of the pole down to the tarp tie out.

I use a 10" piece of zing it with a loop in the end for the pole with a prussick connected to the tarp pullouts. Just cinch it up and its good to go. Simple and cheap!

According to the description at that link, it's a continuous loop.

Not trying to sway your purchase decision, (love dutch) but look at these connections. this system is $20 more but comes with connections and case, or many DIY ideas.

I have tarp worms on all of my tieouts. So I use the looped end of the guylines and larks head them to the end of my hiking poles. Useing the worm to shorten the guylines to about 10". I haven't found a need to carry extra poles as the hiking poles are either holding the tarp out this way or in porch mode.

    I also use a loop-on-end system.

I use Braided mason's line with a loop on one end and a stop knot on the lower end. The line is prussiked to the tie out. Easy to adjust for the different pitches of the tarp.

Ditto what MichiganDave and Floridahanger have said. Great way to connect and adjust your pole mods to perfection.

I had Dutch make me some 8" dogbones out of zing-it. I larks head it to the pull-outs and leave them on the tarp. Works great.
