Best Georiga location for hike n fish

Gonna be doing a real laid back early summer trip. Was wanting some peoples personal takes on some good hiking / trout hole areas. I've done the Chatooga. Was thinking about the Conasauga river trail. Probably stay away from the Jacks due to crowds. Anyways, was hoping for some first hand intell on some great spots. Looking at probably keeping the mileage to 5-7 a day to optimize fishing time. Thanks!

Toccoa River swinging bridge on the Benton MacKaye Trail (mile marker 14.7) in Georgia.

You can park on Highway 60 near Suches, GA and hike 3.5 miles south over Toonowee Mountain on the BMT to get there.

Or you can drive down FS 816 to within a 1/4 mile of the campground.

National park so no reservations needed. One of the best trout streams in Georgia and excellent camping along the river.

Is there a trail along the river to where you could hike and fish one spot, then the next day, hike and fish another? Dont just want to camp and fish

The Jacks River Trail has 27 water crossings and plenty of trout. It's a great summer hike with cool water and great scenery.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

I'm not much into fishing but I was told that there was good fishing around the Standing Indian Campground area. The pros are that there is plenty of day hiking opportunities in the area and you can check out a pretty cool loop of the AT if you have enough time. The only con I know of is that's it's actually in Franklin, NC. That's only a couple hours drive from Atlanta.
