Color me jealous.
Excellent report, great pictures. Cold with thick, green ground cover. Thank you very much.
Great report and pics. Am hoping to buy a canoe or kayak this spring and the clinker was very interesting. Someday i'll have to visit. Its my ancestral homeland.

Thank you all for the kind words, it was one of the best trips this year, hopefully one or two more before January.
Grizz, your welcome anytime.
fulminated, Scots pine and bog was exactly what we had on Friday night, I had a growing puddle under my hammock, if my knots had failed it could have got very uncomfortable, I'm rubbish at knots which is why I use devices, they were in a bag not packed however, so I resorted to how Ray Mears ties his hammocks up, Evenk one end and a slippery hitch the other.
mbiraman, the clinker built is available as either a kit or as plans, I believe its called the "Wee Rob"
Great trip, looking forward to the next one
A few more pics from me ....
My winter hammock is the Nomads Land XXL with IDW/Snugpak underblanket and Alpkit Pipedream 600, toasty
