    What's the largest hammock fly

I have a Profly for my eno. I'm thinking of giving all my new equipment to the wife and starting over for myself. I would love to have a super large fly for my sitting and cooking needs only because I'm looking at the Hennessey jungle xl for my hammock set up. I could always buy a tarp for this job but like the idea of lighter weight fabrics.

I was looking at the DD tarp xl. It appears to be the largest and most reasonably priced super large tarp, at 4.5m x 3m. Are there any others that spring to mind? Any help is appreciated

Probably a Barnum & Bailey big top.

I would reach out to the cottage vendors and asked them for advice and what size they recommend. The issue that comes to mind is the larger toy go you really need a specific site to set it up in. Look at theses guys....

    Underground Quilts

Alternatively you could make one, take it from me it's doable however much less forgiving to work with. It's also expensive if you make a mistake. Good luck.

I would go for the DD 4x4m, width is more useful than length.
The 4.5m is excessive, the 4x4 will give you 600mm (2 feet) at each end, that's plenty. The longer tarp will just get in the way of your hammock suspension if you want to hang it lower in stormy weather.
I have the 4x4 myself, lots of options with it; the ends make good doors, and if you run the ridgeline the other way, you can use the ridgeline tabs as panel pulls (one thing it lacks).

The Warbonnet Superfly is about as big as I would go for one person.

Many of the cottage vendors now offer a 13' length. All of my tarps have a 13' ridge line and my pup and I really like the extra covered space for a small weight penalty when backpacking.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!

You may want to contact member Squidbilly via a pm, he custom makes tarps and does top of the line work at reasonable prices.

Thanks Zilla, I'm check that out also. I'm wanting one big enough to cover the wife and I (2 hammocks) unless the trees don't allow.

Simply Light Designs made the three tarps that I have. Jared made a 13 and a 14 foot Winter Haven with doors for a couple buddies of mine. Tons of coverage.
