Opie, got a nice bundle of neon green rope today. Awesome, thanks for the work you put into this. Merry Christmas, and whoopies for all!

And the green is far easier to splice than the orange.

    Oh NO!!!
Anyone have 100 foot of green they want to sell or trade for orange?

Opie do you have 200 feet extra to sell?

    Regards and

Oh... youll be OK. The green pushes apart easier, thats all.

For me, and my big hands, anything that makes it easier is nice... For me, the green is easier.

I do have some... but not sure I want to get rid of it. Let me know how the orange works out for you.

I would trade 100 feet of green for 100 feet of orange.

I did some testing last night and made a whoopie sling. Amsteel is a little easier th get the threads apart but no big deal at all. My 300 feet wieghed 217 grams bringing it in at .72 grams per foot. I'm not sure what amsteel weighs, but I am sure it is more. I also did a weight test. It picked up 250 pounds and 500 pounds with no problem and there was no detectable stretch of the whoopie sling slipping. At 830 pounds it got it off the ground but then broke in 3 seconds. It broke right after the fixed ey bury and close but not right at the entry pont of the adjustable side. 830 is pretty good but you would have to be careful and inspect it often.

830 lbs is good..right.? As long as I weigh under 1600 lbs, I mean I'm impressed with how thin and light this stuff is. And strong.
Dutch, was that a vertical lift or 30* , common hanging angle?? Weren't the number different from amsteel and others, when pull testing ropes at angles?
