Any ideas for sides and such for a burger dinner? I know I can do some serious baked beans, but since it will be June and temps are already cracking 80F I thought maybe cool/cold sides might weather better?

Ok you asked for it. This in no way does justice to the high winds we saw that day. Don't even have any scale to show how big those trees were but beggars can't be choosers.

I would rather be in the woods... my dog would rather be in the pool. My wife thinks we are both nuts.

Burgers was a suggestion, if we don't have a grill might be tough.. pasta salad would be cool and refreshing

Sorry for the silence! It was a crazy week on the road for work. Thankfully, I'm back at my computer now, as normal. It seems that you cannot edit posts after so long, so I won't be able to keep the first post up to date as was my original plan. I'll have to post the lists and all that as I did before. No worries though. Perhaps I can get a Mod to remove that line from my first post.

Grillin' burgers sounds like a fantastic idea! I'm sure we can round up a grill, or we can always cook them over a fire. Let me put some feelers out, I might know where I can get one.

BigE94, thanks for posting the wind video. You're right, it does not do it any justice!!

It is a pretty "rustic" campground. Might be a good idea to let them know when you want it so they can make a special effort to swing in there and mow it. Most times I have been through there the grass is tall and the area pretty wooly.
