Hammock "kit" as a Christmas party gift?

I might take advantage of a Trek Light promotion, order a Double Hammock and a Rope/Carabiner Bundle, and use it as my "gift" in an upcoming Christmas party gift exchange for my department.

Who knows...this might just introduce someone to the wonderful world of hammocks!

I think it's a great idea. If I wasn't getting tons of people decent quality flashlights as gifts already, I might steel the idea.

I brought a DIY HAAB style hammock to last year's Yankee Swap. It was the gift that kept getting traded for. Hammock is definitely a great Christmas gift!

I've never bought a trek light hammock, but I do have a bunch of their reusable grocery bags, and the stitching is nice - they feel a LOT sturdier than many compact reusable grocery bags I've used. I pile those things high with heavy stuff and never had any worries about ripping.

That doesn't really translate into hammock quality, but the workmanship and customer service from the company were both really good when I dealt with them.

I've got 2: a Single and a Double. Had them for quite a while and beat the snot out of them in the backyard. No trouble with them at all.
