ARGGG!!! I would be hesitant to move without seeing the new site. Jim and I were there and group 4 has some nice trees along with a shelter. Obviously the concern is the trees or lack there of. I will be more than happy to drive out there ASAP and check out the PV campground. This can make or break the hang.

Jefferson Memorial called me just a few moments ago. There is a company in town wanting to shoot a movie the same weekend as our hang and they would like to use site #3. They have offered to reimburse what has already been paid and cover the camping cost for the weekend. Additionally, as an alternative, JMF is going to allow us to camp at the private Volunteer Campground. I've asked what it looks like and should be hearing back soon.

Any thoughts, objections, opinions, or otherwise on this move? I'll need to get back with them ASAP.

Is the volunteer site still in the Horine Reservation? Also is the site wooded ? If you can ask them if this is the site Hocking University used over the summer when they had volunteered, their group was of about 20. (they had complained about a 'nest' of copperheads at their site to me when they came to the RRGorge to volunteer).

So we get a free weekend to camp? that is sweet! We will definitely need directions to the site! I'm good with it if the site will work for us...

I just checked, the Volunteer camp site is not on the Horine Reservation map. I'm sure the other sites are booked every weekend during the fall, so they are bumping us to their V. campsite.

The lady who called me was going to drive out there and call me back with a status of the trees. But, BigE94 is going to give them a call and see if he can check it out, in person, today. I agree with him, if the site sucks, it will really kill the hang. I'm okay with the move, pending his feedback.

OK.... Nicolas Cage was spotted back in July and a farmhouse in Oldham County was used for a scene shoot in early August.
