    Lawson 2mm glowire core.

Is anyone using Lawson Glowire without its core for tie outs? I'm replacing my tie outs on my WB Superfly, and found that the 2mm glowire I bought does not fit Dutch Fleaz with the core still in it. Without the core it seems strong enough, I may just roll with it.

I've tried to contact Lawson a few times about whether they ever did any strength testing without the core, however never get a response.

I got a response back from Lawson. They have not done official break testing on the glowire without a core, however they advised the stranded sheath should theoretically (and unofficially) be around 175 to 200 lbs by itself.

    I think that will suffice.

Sorry we weren't able to help, but I appreciate you sharing the info on the forum. Kind of impressed by the unofficial strength rating on this.
