FYI peapod deal at speer hammocks sale items

I just noticed on Ed Speers site he has 2 peapods for sale (on the sale page) they are around 200 dollers each----something about both sides being made out of kelly green. Its a heck of a deal-------kind of wish they had been on sale when I bought my peapod last month----------but oh well, maybe some one will be able to take advantage of this--------good luck!
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.

Looks like someone beat me to the other peapod. It's gone also.

Anyone want to sell a peapod?

    OR . . . Has ever tried using a Feathered Friends Rock Wren (or Winter Wren) as a peapod. Anyone ? ? ? Anyone ? ? ?

Yeah, I also plan to combine the Pea Pod with the Claytor no net Hammock in order to maximize the warmth. It is a simple sleep system which should save time and save weight. I hope to use it on top of Hunter Mountain in the Catskill Mountains. It should be cold windy and snowy out and with the help of a hammock sock and a tarp the set up should be windproof.

Thanks for spotting the sale on Ed's site. I got a great deal on the Pea Pod.

Yeah, the Claytor no net hammock when combined with the Speer PeaPod works great as a system , especially when you surround yourself with a hammock sock in order to deflect the wind. Thanks for reporting the peapod sale on Ed Speer's online store.

FF wren series bags .... while arguably the most uber awesomest multifunction, top quilt, top bag / underquilt ever to rock the hammock scene....

are just plain too short and too narrow to use as a peapod. Unless you are about 4ft tall.

    Thanks Turk.
Last summer I squeezed an REI Travel Sac (55*) over a Grand Trunk Travel Hammock. Except for the 40* weather it wasn't to bad. I was thinking all it needed was more insulation. From what you are saying the peapod is hard to beat for an all out overlap.

The pea pod works great because it engulfs your entire hammock and body in down feathers. I stayed real warm with it surrounded by a hammock sock which covered the pea pod. It functions like a giant sleeping bag.
