    A Modest Suggestion

Simply re-label the existing UQ forum, to include TQs and bags.

well, there are also lots of folks using nunataks, golites, and sleeping bags for topside insulation, and none of those has anything to do with underquilts.

i can see how it might be a useful forum. i vote "yes"

There are sleeping bags being used as top quilts and under quilts that go both ways... or is it top quilts that go both ways?

I think this is a good suggestion

I think a separate forum for top quilts would be useful.

Could you repeat that in slightly dif words, CS? I'm not sure I am correctly getting your meaning.

IOW, I see: A: Sorry, you're wrong., followed by B:are designed to work as topquilts and underquilts, which seems to be in agreement with what Pan said. Maybe you were agreeing with Pan about the dual function of his quilts but saying he is wrong about no need for a separate forum? ( It's probably me, it's early with low caffeine levels!

Extra forums result in compartmented; info which requires duplicate postings, results in missed related info.... Given the propensity for thread ramble around here it is almost a mute point to seek too much compartmentalization

Seems like a systematic tagging review... one where each post had its own tags as well as the thread tags would enable far more efficient searching...

I vote for a topquilt forum to be added.

Okay, I'll repeat it in different words. Looks like JRB is looking out for THEIR interests.

Last I checked, Te-Wa, Warbonnet, KAQ, The Perfect Trees, etc...weren't producing quilts that are designed on for both top and bottom. No need to go into the inefficiencies of a quilt designed with compromises.

    I vote for different subforums.

I def vote yes...before purchasing from Perfect Trees I had decided I wanted a 3/4 UQ and a seperate TQ. I researched TQ and UQ seperatly and would of found it very useful to have a TQ forum instead of navagating through a bunch of just Quilt threads and general hammocking threads.
