what to do with some 1.1 ripstop

I was at Walmart today and saw some 1.1 ripstop in digital camo in the clearence isle. i picked up 7 feet of it( all they had). It's the 60 inch stuff and i'm looking for ideas on what to make with it. Diy undercover, half quilt, over cover. Any ideas?

Overcover is a good idea... 1/2 quilt maybe.. If you have additional material then you could do a UC.

I'll buy it from you I want to make some small hammocks for my kids for Christmas, and that size would be perfect.

You could make a gear hammock.

    Definitely an overcover.

Mine (7' piece of 1.1 dwr, sprayed with silocone water proofing) attaches to my ridgeline with velcro loops sewn at roughly 2' intervals, instead of seaming the edges, I just heat-sealed them. With the velcro, I secure it to the foot-end, and let the rest slide along the ridgeline like a curtain. (Quarters sewn into the head-end corners help it stay in place, I loosely tie the foot-end corners around the bottom of the hammock to keep them secure-- velcro might work better.

Griz (sp?) (I think) has a thread on his KISS cover...

It's amazing how much heat an overcover traps. My V2 will include about 2' of bugnet, so I can either completely cover up, or view the night sky... I'm trying to figure out how I could use magnets to hold the edges down in a wind, or maybe a bottom drawstring like I've seen on non-integrated bugnets... we'll see.
