Progress is slow, expect it and plan for it! Under quilt build

Making progress on my wife's quilt, with kids and gardens and a job it's tough to find much time to work. Also a lot of time goes into thinking through each step, and you really do need to take your time.

Here is my progress so far

    image.jpg
image.jpgdouble check the calcs, I forgot to add 4 inches for the seam allowance and had to sew on another piece of fabric.
image.jpgThis is painters tape, used to lay out the baffles. It works as a guide when sewing instead of chalk or pens which I have not had good results with.
image.jpgHere I'm sewing a rolled hem around the outer edge
image.jpgSewing a no-seeum baffle along the blue tape edge.

sorry put this together quick last night on the tablet, not much detail.

The blue tape is marking my baffles, I fold the mesh and sew along the tape instead of using pens or chalk. It's working very well.

Think your progress is slow? I am hand sewing my UQ. But I can't start it till I finish the winter tarp and top quilt! Keep up the good work.

Wow, i can't even imagine doing it all by hand.

I managed to get all the baffles sewn to the hammock side. Now I need to complete the lay out on the other shell side and sew.
