Hello! These forums were recommended by another member as a great source of info. I camp several times a year...After my last trip, I think I'm done sleeping on the ground. I think you hammock guys have a better idea.I'm here mostly for research purposes as I track down gear to purchase or make that will work for my 6'2", 250-lb. frame.
In my non-camping time I'm an IT guy for a Federal research lab, and my other hobbies are music, cars, firearms, woodworking...Generally anything handy.
Hey Hemi426--that would be CERL, or USGS Water Science Center, or ... ? If the latter I can hit your building from my building with a well thrown baseball. I'm at CSL. I got a bunch of hammocks possible as loaners.
