Many of these lines are very bright and/or reflective. If stealth is an issue then what would you use?

You could use paracord, but as long as it isn't reflective it is steathy enough for what I am doing. You are not going to see the orange no tangle unless you see the tarp.

The mason line is so thin you won't be able to see it unless you can see everything else in your camp. The tarp is by far the most visible part of your setup. I don't even really worry about the yellow Harbor Freight straps I use.

It has been mine for many years as well, until recently in fact. Many times I have touted the qualities of para cord, strong enough, cheap available almost everywhere...But since I tried the Amsteel, I have changed my tune.

I now use Amsteel for my suspension, will use same type of high tech cord for my tarp ridgeline and my tarp guy lines as well. Currently I use braided mason's line for tarp guys, but I am going to switch to 1.75 from AHE pretty soon.

I still carry 50 feet of para cord, but I also carry extra Amsteel as well. Old habits die hard I guess!

Yeah I know but I like to be consistent

I'm looking at this Lash-It stuff from Redden that seems to be quite strong and the color isn't so loud yet more visible than basic black. I'm wondering if this is that much better than mason line. I'm thinking that it might be a lot better for the tarp ridge line.
