6' tree straps, twigs, and Whoopies. It's all I've ever experienced, but I have no issues with the ease of use nor the weight. The largest trees I've hung on took up the entire tree strap, but the trees are smaller here than in the West.

Old system (and loved it): 6' straps > wind chime toggles > Whoopies connected to hammock.
Current system: 6' straps > 6' Amsteel Leads > Dutch Speed Hooks > Continuous Loop to hammock.
Possible system (because I like to fiddle): 12' straps > 1" rings > Continuous Loop to hammock.
My SRL is a fixed eye both sides Zing-it.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you
I keep finding myself going back to my 6' straps, 12" dog bones, toggles, and Whoopies rig for simplicity/durability.
I've tried the Whoopie Hook suspension, Dutch Spider, and Dutch Buckle. Of those 3 I much preferred the Buckle.
12' tree straps to Jbend at the CLs in my hammock channels. No moving parts = simple = best
My SRL is fixed eye both ends.

This way i can pack my straps seperate to avoid getting sap on my hammock.
I started out with daizy chain (slap straps)? Then went to stadic line with prusik knots, Then got some amsteel and some double whoopie hooks to use as speed hooks love them but they are a little hard on the CL and suspension line. I recently got some COGs, their bigger then the speed hooks but I use them in the same way and their easier to adjust and don't seem to fray the amsteel I'm really liking them.
By all means, let's argue about whether or not a hammock will hurt a tree. All the while ignoring the fact that there is an island of garbage the size of Texas floating in the Pacific ocean. Or how about the fact that over 75% of the world's nuclear reactors are leaking...
Old setup... pretty standard straps with whoopies...
I've settled in on Kevlar staps, MSH with CF toggle, 5' Amsteel leader to Loop Aliens.
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

Whoopie hooks on my WBBB. Fun to play with and probably saved a little weight coming from the webbing/ buckles. The webbing and buckles from the BB are now on my ENO. ENO stays in the car and is used at parks. Webbing and buckles are also easier to use if someone borrows the ENO.
Dutch Clips on 7' camo straps, and a Becket Hitch right to the continuous loop on the hammock. Caint get much simpler!

I've gone to find myself. If I get back before I return, make sure I stay here.
When I see lovers' names carved into a tree, I don't think it's cute. I think it's strange how so many people take knives on a date.

For my gathered end hammock, one rap ring on each end and 12' webbing straps, tied to ring with a larks head. Simple, easy and secure.
My bridge is a little more complicated but it is basically one rap ring on each corner, simple in one sense but much more finicky trying to get everything level. I just wrap a length of webbing around the tree and each end of the webbing goes into one of the rings, then pop in my bars.
Probably takes me a minute to setup my gathered end and maybe 3 -4 for the bridge.
