Ultra-wide question

Hello folks,

I am thinking of putting together a ultra wide hammock. I am thinking of making it someplace around 11' x 12'. Am I nuts for wanting to try this? I searched the forum and I didn't find a thread on the pros or cons. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Is there a point in going wider than you are tall? Once you pass diagonal to full perpendicular what more would you want?

My hammock is 90" wide and I'm only 62" tall. I love my wide hammock. More than 90", though, seems excessive. Why do you want it so wide? Is your whole family going to join you in it?

Exactly! You dont need our permission! I feel like every week someone is trying something new here on the forums. Make one and report back, let us know the pros and cons, even if its mostly cons you can tell us what you learned. There is a lot of value in failure and I dont think you need a reason or justify what you would use 12' wide hamock for. It will be one of a kind if nothing else!

Make it out of waterproof material & if you don't like it you could always turn it into a tarp. Win Win

I dont think you need a reason or justify what you would use 12' wide hamock for. It will be one of a kind if nothing else!

What if you need to jump off a cliff? You could just grab the hammock lines and float to the bottom!
