What's the newest, coolest, hottest UQ?

Havent been around HF in ages and have left the outdoor retail industry too.

Converted the Mr. to a hammock and now we're both in the market for new UQs.

I want: 3 season, full length, down. I have to be warm!

Mr. wants: 3 season 3/4 length, down

We live near and hike weekly in the Sierra Nevada.

    Whatcha got??

I'd be looking at the Enlightened Equipment Revelation 20 long and wide or extra wide with the 900 Downtek fill. 20d outer shell, 10d inner shell. Get the stock footbox which has about a 12 inch zipper and snaps at each end, plus the drawstring closure. The fabric is nice and the workmanship is really top quality. I have this quilt and it's a true 20 degree quilt without anything more than Merino long underwear and wool socks. You could probably take it down to zero if you had a hammock over cover and the matching full length under quilt as I bought. You're going to pay slightly more for the EE gear but you get what you pay for. In my case the suspension on the under quilt just seems like it was designed to fit my wide Dream Hammock so that I could never imagine using anything else.

Unfortunately they're slammed with orders and the wait on the site is listed as 14 to 16 weeks.

I do have a couple of other quilts from vendors I'll mention but haven't tested them as fully as the EE so I'll stop with my review here

You should also look at Wilderness Logics, Zpacks, Jack's R Better, Loco Libre and the rest of the many vendors on here. They all really have something to set themselves apart from each other. Those four I mentioned, I know people who own them and are happy with their performance or I own them myself.

Congratulations on converting another ground dweller into a hanger!

You'll be pleased with any down underquilt from hammock gear, arrowhead equipment, loco libre, enlightened equipment, etc...

I'm obsessed with Loco Libre Gear quilts. They're pieces of art and offer more customizability and options than any other vendor I've found.

Check out Loco Libre Gear, George can make you whatever length you want. The Argon fabric is exceptional and you'll have your choice of a large variety of color options and three different types of down fill... or synthetic if you want to go that route.

I did a bunch of research last month, and ended up ordering an Incubator 20 and a Burrow 20 from Hammock Gear. They're out for delivery today, and I can't wait to try them out this weekend!

I'm surprised no on has mentioned undergroundquilts.com (UGQ). Lots of options, great workmanship, and wonderful customer service. As a side sleeper who likes to lay at a slightly wider angle, I really appreciate their wider UQs (you can choose between ~44"wide and ~48"wide). If you're looking for cozy and warm, look no further!

EDIT: Oh! I didn't realise Junebugdawn already sent you there. Ooops!
