    Shemagh gear hammock

A little paracord and a shemagh and you got yourself a gear hammock.

DD Mesh Hammock for 12 bugs cannot be beaten as gear hammock.
Your hammock looks very nice but the manner you hang it would be life-threatening for me. Angle your hammock suspension (rope) better at around 30° (not 45-50°).

Why would it be life threatening? Besides potentially being uncomfortable, he's not risking high tension on trees or straps.

I never used such an uncommon angle. But you are right, shear force and cord tension is less with such a high hang angle.

I will remind me next time I use my hammock in chair mode.

It sags down to a better angle when I lay in it and it's a paracord SR until I get some amsteel or something of the like.

Wider hammocks are actually quite comfortable when hung with lots of sag. I sleep in one every night.
