    I made my organizers and a gear hammocks out of organza. I'll bet if you got 4 yards of organza, you could cut a strip for a snakeskin then have leftover for a gear hammock and an organizer or two. Nice thing about organza is it is stronger than no see um and available locally at Joann. Also comes in multiple colors. You could maybe even get away with 2 yards and make the two piece snake skins and still have some for an organizer and gear hammock/loft.

    I just made some skins with "seconds" quality 1.35oz ripstop. They turned out great and 2 yards of fabric cost me <$5.

    I had great success using noseeum (first time seeing with it) and headchange4u's instructions (linked above). I went with a single long sleeve akin to this: http://www.hammockgear.com/hammock-gear-cuben-sleeve/

    I've made tarp skins from Tulle that I bought at the fabric store. It's very inexpensive and super light weight but it not a tough as noseeum netting.
