    Fabric options

    Are there any plans for warbonnet to start making blackbirds in other fabrics besides nylon? robotic or hexon?

    Both Hexon and "Robotic" (actually it's called Robic) are nylon fabrics. But Warbonnet only uses their own fabrics - a 1.1oz ripstop and a 1.7oz plain nylon fabric - for their hammocks. Basically if you can't select it on the WB website, it's not sold. Maybe if you would order a huge batch they might do a custom job.

    If you're dead set on Hexon or Robic, you'd have to order a hammock with one of the custom hammock makers like e.g. Dream Hammock. Personally, I like the WB fabrics, though. Apparently the 1.1oz fabric is made with 6.6 nylon, which is similar to Robic (= strong and robust) although it's a rectangular pattern only.

    Best to contact Brandon. I've seen him make exceptions for these kinds of batches in the past, although that was a few years ago in my case. Not sure if he's done anything recently for it. He's a great guy - shoot an email on the web sites' contact and you'll get official word straight from the source.
