VIDEO: Jacques Lake backcountry, Jasper Alberta...

This was my son-in-laws first backcountry and hammock trip. He did well even through the bad weather.

There were no bugs, yet! I have read that the mosquitos can be quite bad here when they hatch.
The chairs are both Helinox, very light and portable. And...a kilometre is .621 of a mile!

I have the Helinox Chair One which is lower to the ground and the Helinox Camp Chair which is higher and has a longer back. Both are seen in the video. Both set up in seconds and are very sturdy.

A beautiful destination! Did everyone at the campsite get to see the moose?

No, it was 6am and they were all still sleeping. Good thing I had the video for proof.

It doesn't look like you hung your hammock over a tent pad. Sometimes the parks folks are picky about that. No problems for you?
