Am I missing something or are different items sold on Dutchware Gear and the new Make your gear site? For example you can't get some of the camping gear from the latter site. It would be handy if you could shop all gear on one site.

Agreed.

I thought I saw some fabric being discussed that was also not on the main site. I do think it is a bit odd.
Dutchwaregear.com is the "fully-assembled" side of the house where you can get ready made products to use. Makeyourgear.com is designed for the DIYer who wants to buy pieces and make the stuff themselves.

Place an order on both sites and ask Dutch to combine shipping.
While it would be less of a hassle to us if Dutch just had one mega site like a Dutchmart type of site,, Dutch has been at this quite awhile and i'm sure there are reasons that we are not even aware of for him splitting them up, maybe for tax reasons or ones that we don't even realize, but one thing i have learned over the past few years about Dutch, -
There is allways a method to his madness!..
Yep, there are smart business reasons to split them up.

I am all in for smart business practices. But there should be a way for us to include items from both sites on a single order. For instance, why are clip on quilt hooks not included in plastic hardware on the DIY site?
This is definitely a first world problem.
