I have not had any issues with them getting in my way.

Just picked up a mini Luci lantern from REI, about half the size of others I've seen and weighs 2.4 oz. it replaced my orbit lantern on my last trip and performed better than I hoped for though I find the inflating part somewhat obnoxious. The lack of batteries makes up for it though. https://www.rei.com/product/106318/m...c=cse_PLA_GOOG

With the Luci I never blow it up to inflate. I squeeze the inlet and pull the ends apart. I took it on winter hikes and was worried the plastic might have issues but it worked fine. No moisture went inside from my breath.

I use the large luminaid It weighs less than the smaller one. It works great by placing it at the end of the hammock. Great diffusion for reading.
