Looking for South GA Hang spot for this weekend

The wife and I are planning to hang some where this coming weekend. Her sister and husband (ground dwellers) might join us for some camping. They are in Thomasville GA. close to them would be cool. Some place we can get in to. Back country is ok. Any Southern GA camp spots that you can suggest that we could get in to would be great.

Not sure how close Thomaston is to Providence Canyon, but we stayed there about a month ago and had a great time.

I would also recommend Providence Canyon State Park, it is South of Columbus near Lumpkin, GA. Friends of ours were just there and loved it.

Also consider Pine Mountain near Callaway Gardens

Hey Lifescout, Chehaw park in Albany, Ga. (About I hour north of Thomasville) is nice. I've hung there several times and always enjoyed it. No back country but a few nature trails and a pretty nice zoo, bmx bike track, and disc golf, if you are interested. You would be in the tent area. Just google it and check it out. Also, Reed Brigham state park is about 45 minutes north east of Thomasville. Providence Canyon is great as is Pine mountain and fdr state park, but they are at least twice as far from Thomasville as the first two I mentioned. Good luck!
