I haven't really seen a place here to rent UQ's. I'll take a look into it, but shortly after the first trip we'll be needing to go on another trip that'll be a few more days of time.

Here's a thread on UGQ's rental program.

I don't think it helps you because they only rent in the US.

Wish I could get out for that long at one time!
You may want to check out www.littleshopofhammocks.com he's one of the Canadian members on here who makes products in Canada and ships them for a flat rate. He also makes UQ's and his lead times are only 2weeks ish. I believe he uses materials from RSBTR so you know they'll be top notch

Go to Costco in Canada and buy the down blanket. It's $30 CND. Search YouTube for Costco under quilt. All you need is the blanket, some shock cord and grosgrain ribbon. It worked really well and it's a great price.

Arrowhead equipment has quilts on sale. For $200 you and the wife would be set.

Thanks everybody for the suggestions, I think for now I'll be settling with the SnugPak for now as it's in our price range and we'll be doing mostly tent area camping until my back is better so we're not too worried about weight or below freezing weather.
Thank you for all your help!
I looked closely at all the bag liner options and in the end, skipped. Most lack a zipper or any form of easy entry, which can be challenge at best when in a hammock and they tend to be cut narrow which defeats the comfort of a hammock. Just didn't make sense.
Like the OP, I am reluctant to drop the coin on a set of quilts. For now, with the warmer weather here, a blue CCF pad is working well in conjunction with an REI HelioSac half zipped and in 'quilt' mode.

Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....
