I skip the insulation about half the time when the night time temps are 70 and above.

Low's in the 90's in Canada? I've never seen a low in the 90's even in Alabama and hope I don't.

I use a JRB Nest UQ every time I go hammock camping regardless of the temperature.

The only thing I alternate is my OQ, I use a HG 20 degree Burrow in the winter and a Costco down blanket during the summer.

The Costco down blanket makes a perfect summer quilt. Very light but warm when needed.

I'll use my 35 degree leighlo underquilt in summer months. Right now I''ll most likely deploy it, off to the side, and use it if I need it. Ground dwellers still use a mattress, right?

It's called "the land of extremes" for a reason. ;-)

I put my UQ to the side and my TQ in the shelf on Saturday night. Low in the mid 70s. All the ground pounders were sweating it out on top of their sleeping bags; I was cooled by the smallest of breezes. I'm a happy camper.

How often do you hang without insulation?

I don't use any kind of underquilt when the nighttime lows are above 70F. I only bring a 45 degree sleeping bag to lay on. I usually crawl into it in the wee hours of the morning, but mostly, I'll lay on top of it to prevent mosquitos from biting my back

Yeah, I just tried laying in my hammock whole wearing the sleeping bag and it was really hot. First off its 75 degrees out right now, next off I know it will cool down in the middle of the night, and I know that by laying on the material I compress is, and ia not nearly as effective. But I think that it would be effective until about the 50 degree mark.

I know for sure that other people on here have tested these limitations, but I feel confident in saying you wouldn't "need" one if the weather stays above 50f, however if it's windy enough etc, you could want one.
