I presume for pulling in the ends, like doors.

    I love the color....
Definitely not a stealth tarp - but I'll be honest - its actually a lot more fun building these bright tarps than the standard color.

The shock cord - now coming standard with every Winter Dream and Four Season tarp - is mainly for pulling the ends in towards each other so that in nicer weather you get better views and more air flow if desired. It turns the tarp into a Hex tarp for all intents and purposes - just with the ability to go to full coverage in an instant if the weather turns.

It can also be used to close off the doors. Stake out the four center points, then run each "door" to the opposing side's stake. The shock cord allows enough flex so you can get in and out without having to unhook it.

Opie, I live in Mt. Washington, it's right outside the city, you familar with it, where in MD did you live? And yeah, I just have to keep telling my self "worth the wait, worth the wait, worth the wait" (as head spins around in anticipation), And Scott that shock cord looks really nice, I like the plastic mitten hooks on it, the one thing ive learned and noticed is that, I like how each vendor puts their own special touches on each one of their pieces of gear giveing each piece of gear its own unique quality and us campers so many options.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

Started out in Gaithersburg at around 7. Lived there untill I was 15, then moved to Frederick and lived there until I was 23. Had a short stint in Timonium. Fells Point was almost a weekly weekend destination. Brick Oven pizza and hit up the used music store. Federal Hill on the 4th. A good friend of mine went to UMBC, so we spent alot of time in Baltimore.

I like it too... Very nice craftmanship.

    Weight...

Tarp with 8 of the prusik guy lines with tensioners and 30' RL with Figure 9 comes in at 1 pound 8 ounces. I did make my personal guy lines from 2.2 Zing It... So the 1.75 will shave a few grams off that weight.

Ok...Ok...I'll ask before anyone else does....Where's the Pictures? I thought you weren't a gram weiner...instead maybe a "Proud Pound Hawg".
Seriously though...we need those pictures of those new fangled Prussik tarp tensioners at work on a tarp. It's too bad you won't be at Trail Days 2010...you sure couldn't miss that tarp in the vendor area!
