Anybody ever do this? Say...whoopies on one end, buckles and strap on the other.

That’s probably exactly what I’ll do. A Whoopie on one end and buckles or Beetles on the other is where I’ll start.
It’d certainly be one way to tell the head from the foot end.
I haven't done that, but I can't see any reason not to, other than we tend towards symmetry.
I started that way. I wanted to try both suspensions for my first hammock.
Also, I needed to use Dutch double whoopie hooks for hanging with the wife so I used a whoopie on that end. Worked out just fine for me but I have since ditched both for UCRs to drop weight.
I've done it this way in multiple setups. Works fine. Just a bit nicer to have identical setup on both ends for simplicity. In a tandem hang we use beetle bugs on head end and whoopies on the foot end.

Hi all,
I'm new on this forum and my English is not really excellent. So please excuse in advance if I make some mistakes. I'll try to explain my situation
I got a present yesterday, or better said, my kids, got TWO presents - a hammock and a hammock chair. Both are supposed to be installed in the kid's room. I don't really know much about hammocks and hammock chairs, but I would like to try to install both by my self. I would like to use the same suspension for both things. I made some research in internet and I came to the idea that the Marathon Hanger would be a good solution for my issue. That's the suspension set- first one of those suspensions here, called Marathon .... There are a lot of reviews on this hanger, but for hanging chairs, and I need to make sure I can use it also for a hammock as well....
Could please somebody who is an expert in this area confirm, that's a good choice?
I live in Germany and this hanger is available online also in the German market.
Thank you very much !
Katharina
Hi, Katharine and welcome. You will find a member on this forum called Hutzelbein. He is also German and will probably be able to help with local questions.
From what I’ve seen he is very knowledgeable and helpful!
