    Hudson River Quilt

I did it!!!! The Jacks Christmas sale hooked me. New Hudson River long on the way. Plan to use it as an UQ. I should be good somewhere below 20* with the ccf pad, HR, and Nest combo.
This cuts my sleeping gear weight by 1 lb 12 ozs. Total package for hammock and sleep gear is now 8 lbs 5 ozs with some more small cuts to come on straps, lines, and tarp stakes. As Shug would say - Whoooo Hooooo!!!!!

Merry Christmas to all who are getting those early presents.

yea, i just ordered a HR as well!!! Look forward to some downy warmth.
plan on using it as a top quilt though. I got it w/ 2 oz. overstuff so hoping I can maybe get to 15 - 20* w/ it?

great weight reduction rockdawg69! it's a good feeling.

That's what I am hoping for too. If I can get to 10-15 then I am happy. I didn't get the overstuff though since I am already carrying plenty of overstuff on my person and sleep warm in general anyways

Mine is also on the way! I will be using it as a top quilt only. I have a SnugFit as an Under Quilt. No more sleeping bag zipper to wrestle with. I am very excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I started using the Golite Ultra 20 quilt and like it. It does make it easier to get into plus the straps to go under the pads really help keep it stay put.

I still use my Marmot Helium sleeping bag and it is a little hard to get in and out but it is warm.

Thanks Jacks. I came home at 2:00 and there it was on the doorstep. Two days from order to delivery. Yeah!
Bah Humbug - I don't get to try it out until next Wednesday.

My husband called me at work today and said that I should order that quilt I've been talking about ( the Hudson River)......took me about 10 mins. to convince myself.....and I DID promise to love and obey him, so, it will be shipped after Christmas!!!!! Thanks to the Jacks for a great sale!! Tagalong
